'The
opening of a new Corney & Barrow restaurant
is always
good news for wine lovers'
Nicholas Lander, The Financial Times
Corney & Barrow has been established in the City of London
since the late 18th Century, after beginning life in 1780 as
a small retail premises in Old Broad Street, where Edward Corney
and Robert Barrow sold port, old sack and claret. Over the
years Corney & Barrow has acquired a pre-eminent reputation
as a fine wine merchant and wine bar operator.
Our wine merchants
now hold three Royal Warrants and have exclusive importation
of the world's most expensive and exclusive wines such as Pétrus
and Domaine de la Romanée Conti.
Corney & Barrow became a limited company in 1983, with
the aim of creating a chain of wine bars known for quality
wine lists, modern designs, fresh food and efficient service.
We now have 11 successful and original bars in the group,
each meeting our high standards of quality and service. Corney & Barrow
is still in private hands, and happy to be so. We look forward
to serving our customers
and exceeding all expectations for many years to come.
